Social responsibility, values and strategy

The concept of sustainable development and ethical institutions has started to spread and develop in recent years, and these concepts are at the heart of the work of enterprises concerned with community responsibility. As a result of the government's keenness and the high directions of leadership, and based on the vision of Abu Dhabi 2030, Which take into account the protection of cultural assets and the promotion of societies with Arab identity and the promotion of interactions between the population and their environment, the directives of our government to intensify efforts and strengthen partnership with the private sector and open new horizons for their participation in The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, in its capacity as the general framework of the community responsibility practices provided by the Municipality to society, environment, stakeholders and the workplace.

Within this context, the Municipality paid great attention to the promotion of the values of social responsibility among its employees, with the aim of reflecting this value on the way the employee deals with the customers and with the community. At the same time, the Municipality allocated a large area of activities and programs that develop a sense of community responsibility. That social responsibility is an integral part of the movement of development and comprehensive development, and the solidarity of members of the community between them on the one hand and between them and service institutions on the other hand a goal that contributes to strengthen and consolidate the cohesion of society itself.

The community responsibility policy in the municipal system is based on four basic pillars inspired by the best international standards in this field, in line with the local environment in the UAE and in line with Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030. This policy and its four pillars reflected the strategic plan of Abu Dhabi Municipality :

Community Responsibility Family (Partners)

The government and private sectors have a common interest and partnership with the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City. The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City is committed to continuous coordination with stakeholders to achieve sustainability in infrastructure and other projects under the supervision of the Municipality in Abu Dhabi. Community Responsibility Newsletter

The Community Responsibility Newsletter is responsible for disseminating community responsibility initiatives at the level of the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City implemented by organizational units concerned by monitoring the practices, figures and data on a semi-annual basis and then highlighting them to employees, stakeholders and the local community with a view to applying transparency and facilitating access to relevant knowledge. Social responsibility, as well as promoting awareness of the culture and proper practices of the Initiative's axes, with a desire to motivate and encourage the initiators of the initiatives to continue to deliver more, social.

 

 

Awareness Programs (let's Be - Social Echoes Program- Training and Development )

The " let's Be " program is a panel discussion aimed at employees of the Municipality of

Social Echoes Program for 2016-2017

An innovative program for civil society employees in Abu Dhabi, aims at instilling and strengthening the institutional culture of their social responsibility and awareness of modern concepts and developments of the initiatives undertaken by the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City on the subject through social media and internal electronic channels, consisting of 27 awareness messages and sent through General.

Voluntary Work Program

The initiative was launched by the Community Services Department - Community Responsibility Department - to build and empower voluntary initiatives in the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City and its local environment and to enhance the ethics and conduct of social responsibility among its employees and members of the surrounding community by providing diverse volunteer opportunities in cooperation with the concerned partners in the city.
